Man shot in back by mugger in Manhattan Hell’s Kitchen
A 32-year-old man was shot in the back by a mugger in Hell’s Kitchen early Thursday, according to police.
The victim was on W. 52nd St. near 11th Ave. when the gunman stormed up and tried to rob him about 6:15 a.m., cops said. During the clash, the gunman shot the victim in the upper back.
Medics rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he is expected to recover. It was not immediately clear if anything was taken from him, police said.
No arrests have been made. The gunman, described as a short light-skinned man between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-5 was last seen running down W. 52nd St., cops said.
