Man shot in both legs at Augusta Walmart

Deputies are investigating after a 45-year-old man was shot in both legs at the Walmart on Windsor Spring Road.

Just before 10 a.m. Sunday, Richmond County deputies responded to the 3600 block of Windsor Spring Road for a fight.

The two men knew each other from "past associations" and one of the men shot the other, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The victim was shot at least twice in both legs, according to the release. He was transported to the hospital for his injuries

Suspects were identified, but fled the scene before deputies or investigators arrived, according to the release.
