Baltimore police are investigating the death of a man who was shot while streaming a “game night” party on Facebook live, according to a report.

According to the Associated Press, a selfie video showed the man walking through the house party and playing hide and seek early on Saturday morning.

The report said that in the video, attackers can be seen climbing over the fence while the man searches the back garden as part of the game.

The man was then said to have been ordered to get on the ground while the live stream continued but, after a commotion, the recording was cut off.

Reports said the victim has been identified as Ernest Wilson III.

In a post on Facebook councilman Eric Costello said that a 24-year-old male was shot and killed inside a property on the 1100 block of S Charles St during the early morning of Saturday.

The post stated Mr Wilson did not live in the property but was renting it out a short term for a “game night” he planned to have with friends.

“Two individuals entered the property and announced a robbery and subsequently shot and killed the victim,” Mr Costello wrote.

According to WMAR, Mr Wilson was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Mr Costello said that Baltimore Police Department detectives were actively investigating the incident.
