Man shot in foot near Bunker Hill Township, 32-year-old Albion man arrested

BUNKER HILL TWP. — A 34-year-old Stockbridge man was shot in the foot Saturday and an Albion man has been arrested in connection with the shooting, according to an Ingham County Sheriff's Office press release.

The Stockbridge man was taken to a hospital for treatment, the release said. As of Saturday, he was in stable condition.

Deputies and Michigan State Police responded about 7:30 a.m. to a reported shooting at 1371 Baseline Road, according to the release. The Albion man, 32, had fled the scene in a vehicle, police said, but officers located him in Leslie and took him into custody.

"A loaded pistol was located in the vehicle," police said.

The 32-year-old is being held in the Ingham County Jail and awaiting arraignment on "several felonies," according to the release.
