Man shot outside cinema at the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley in Millbury

MILLBURY — A man was shot outside the Blackstone Valley 14 Cinema de Lux at the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley Saturday night, according to police.

Several gunshots were fired outside the upper entrance to the theater, Millbury police said in a statement.

No information about the suspected shooter or motive was announced by officials.

The victim, a male who has not been identified, was shot in the shoulder. Police said the injury did not appear to be life threatening.

According to the Massachusetts State Police office, state troopers assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney's Office are handling the investigation, as well as the Millbury Police Department.
