Man stabbed in the neck on Greene Street in Augusta, possible suspect arrested

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is investigating after man was stabbed in the neck Thursday on Greene Street in Augusta.

Just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the 1400 block of Greene Street for a stabbing, according to a news release. When deputies arrived, they found a man who was stabbed at least once in the neck.

The man was taken to the hospital and is listed in serious condition, according to the release.

Deputies found and arrested a possible suspect involved in the stabbing, according to the sheriff's office. No further information will be released due to the active investigation.
