Man stabbed in unprovoked attack on city bus in Harlem, NYPD says

A man was slashed in an unprovoked attack on a city bus in Harlem, police said Sunday.

The attacker was sitting in the bus as it approached W. 135th St. and Lenox Ave. at around 1:05 a.m. earlier this month, cops said.

As a man seated next to him stands up, the alleged stabber appears to grab him and follow him off camera, surveillance video released by police shows.

The attacker stabbed the 38-year-old man in the right forearm and slashed him on the right hand in the Aug. 11 incident, cops said.

The victim took himself to Harlem Hospital, where he was treated.

Police are still searching for the attacker. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
