Man struck by car dies in Plainfield
PLAINFIELD – A man died after he was struck by a car near South Avenue and Atlantic Street on Saturday morning.
At 10:34 a.m. Saturday, Plainfield police responded to the area of South Avenue and Atlantic Street on a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle, authorities said.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim who was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The identity of the victim was not released. The incident remains under investigation.
