Man dies after shooting in Corryville, police say

A man died following a shooting in Corryville on Tuesday afternoon, just south of University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

According to a Cincinnati police news release, officers responded at 3:10 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 2900 block of Bellevue Avenue.

There, they found a man on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died.

Police haven't released the name of the victim but released his age. Cincinnati police spokesman Lt. Johnathan Cunningham said the department is not including the names of victims in press releases due to Marcy’s Law, a victims' rights law that went into effect in Ohio on April 7.

No suspect information was available.
