Police are searching for a man who ran away from authorities as they were trying to arrest him for possibly stealing a vehicle, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

On Sunday around 3:25 p.m., Maricopa County sheriff's deputies received a call about a stolen vehicle near the area of 114th Avenue and Lakeshore Drive in Youngtown, Arizona, authorities said. Officers found the stolen vehicle with a man identified as Cody Kline, 32, in the driver's seat, according to police.

Deputies attempted to detain Kline, but were unsuccessful, officials said. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Department said Kline fled from deputies on foot and is still outstanding.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Department asked for the public's help in finding Kline, and encouraged anyone who knows of his whereabouts to call 602-876-1011.
