Man wanted in Florida for armed carjacking could be in DC, deputies say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Sheriff’s deputies in Florida said they were looking for a man who is wanted for an armed carjacking and stabbing in Jacksonville, Fla. who might be living in D.C.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, were looking for Raymond Rice Jr., 31.

Rice, who was living in the District in May, is accused of stabbing someone in the neck to get the person’s car on June 10. The person had life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said they believe Rice returned to the District at some point and, as of Dec. 1, was living in D.C. again.

Rice has warrants on file for attempted murder, armed carjacking and armed robbery.
