TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — One of the two people wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 3-year-old in Lakeland turned himself in Tuesday to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Lakeland Police Department.

Kevarius Green, 30, turned himself in at about 11:20 a.m., according to police. His attorney was present.

Green was allegedly the one who fired the shot into a vehicle that killed 3-year-old Jaquez Norton, police said.

Demarius Wilson, 22, is still wanted in connection with the shooting, police said. He should be considered armed and dangerous. He is the twin brother of 22-year-old Kemarius Wilson, who was also killed in the shooting.

Officers responded to the shooting on March 11, which occurred along Cambridge Cove Circle, and found Norton dead at the scene and Robert Einzig, 23, with a gunshot wound. His injuries were non-life-threatening, according to police.

Police said two other people were in the car at the time of the shooting –– Norton’s 21-year-old mother and a 3-month-old girl. They were not injured.

Police said they were visiting a friend in the area, and when they tried to leave, a white Dodge Challenger blocked their vehicle. Then, Kemarius Wilson and Green got out of the car.

Wilson and Green approached their vehicle, then an altercation ensued and turned violent. Gunshots were exchanged between the two men and Einzig. Police said the mother grabbed the infant child and fled.
