Man wanted for shooting in Oregon arrested in Minnehaha County, South Dakota

A man wanted out of Oregon for a shooting was arrested in South Dakota by the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office, according to a press release from the agency.

On Monday, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office was informed Jeremy L. Morinville, 24, was wanted out of Seaside, Oregon. Around 7:30 p.m., the MCSO was able to locate and arrest Morinville without incident in the 4100 block of W. Maple Street, according to the release.

Morinville is currently in custody in the Minnehaha County Jail charged as a fugitive from justice, according to the release.

The 24-year-old is suspected of shooting a man in Seaside, Oregon on Aug. 28. The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was moved from a Seaside hospital to one in Portland for treatment of “non-life-threatening injuries,” according to reporting from The Oregonian.
