Man wanted for yelling anti-Asian remarks, striking man with stick in Brooklyn

New York City police are looking for a man who allegedly made anti-Asian insults before assaulting another man in Brooklyn over the weekend.

What happened: The victim, 46, was reportedly strolling around Prospect Park at around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday when the suspect began targeting him with anti-Asian remarks. Afterward, the perp repeatedly beat him with a stick.

The aftermath: The suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot. The victim, on the other hand, received emergency treatment at the scene.

What’s next: On Wednesday, authorities released images of the suspect, which the victim allegedly took during the encounter. An arrest has yet to be made.
