Man wins $1M Mega Millions prize after traveling to Mass. for Mother’s Day weekend

A Michigan man recently won a $1 million Mega Millions prize after he traveled to Massachusetts for Mother’s Day weekend.

Daniel Sieloff visited the Bay State with his fiancée to see her family and he stopped to buy a lottery ticket before heading to the airport to fly home, according to the Massachusetts Lottery.

Sieloff returned to claim his prize a week after matching the first five numbers on his ticket to those selected during a drawing held on May 10.

Sieloff says he plans to use some of the winnings to take a family trip this spring.

He purchased his winning ticket at the Nouria Energy gas station in Kingston.
