Man wins $40K for 25 years on Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket

WOOSTER, Ohio (WJW) – A Wooster man won $40,000 a year for 25 years on a scratch-off lottery ticket on Thursday.

Tim won the Ohio Lottery 50th Anniversary Scratch-Off prize on a ticket bought at the Bellstore location at 1046 North Apple Creek Road in Wooster, according to a press release from the Ohio Lottery.

According to the release, Tim chose the prize cash option of $500,000. After taxes, Tim will receive $360,000.

The 50th Anniversary Scratch-Off is a $50 ticket that celebrates the Ohio Lottery’s 50th year. The ticket’s top prize is $600,000 a year for 25 years, according to the release.

As of February 22, there are three top prizes remaining in the game, according to the release.
