Man, woman from Jacksonville killed in I-95 motorcycle crash
A 22-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were killed in a multi-vehicle accident late Tuesday on I-95 in Flagler County.
Florida Highway Patrol reports four motorcycles were traveling north on I-95 approaching mile marker 296 around 9:30 pm in the left lane when an SUV approached in the center lane.
For unknown reasons, the motorcycles collided into one another. All four riders, who were all from Jacksonville, were ejected into the roadway. Two people died, and two others were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Both the driver of the SUV and a teenage passenger were not hurt.
Northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for approximately six hours, but have since reopened.
