Man wounded in shooting during West El Paso robbery

El Paso police are investigating a shooting that wounded a man during a robbery late Monday night on the West Side.

The shooting occurred minutes before 12 a.m. in an alley behind the Mesa Inn at 4151 N. Mesa St., next to Westcity Court, a police spokesman said.

One man was taken to a hospital. There have been no arrests. Police have not disclosed what may have been stolen during the robbery.
