LAFAYETTE, Ind. − Lafayette Parks and Recreation announced this week a partnership with CivicPlus to implement new features with CivicRec; a parks and recreation management software solution.

According to a release, the software will allow residents to access community facilities, like the Rush Pavillion, picnic shelters and meeting rooms, online.

“We are thrilled to finally be able to offer online reservations,” said parks superintendent Claudine Laufman. “We know that there is a need for this online service in our community. Now regardless of your availability- maybe you can’t call or stop in during our regular business hours- you can access our facility calendars and make your reservation from anywhere at any time of day, all with the simple click of a button.”

While CivicRec was introduced to the Greater Lafayette area in spring, the ability to make reservations online is a new feature for members of the community.

“CivicPlus is committed to building the types of solutions that help local governments create positive civic experiences in their communities,” said Jennifer Elliott, CivicPlus corporate marketing manager, in a release. “We are pleased that the City of Lafayette chose to partner with us to create a single, easy-to-use system to help residents get out, get active, and enjoy their community.”

Residents can make online reservations by visiting lafayetteparks.org and clicking ‘rentals’ or ‘facilities.
