Oct. 4—TIFTON — With a new manager behind the wheel, the Acceptance Insurance Tifton office is ready to shift into a new gear.

Acceptance Insurance celebrated the recent promotion of Lorrain Hunt to the office's managerial agent Sept. 29, ushering in her change in position with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce.

Hunt was joined by her employees and superiors, members of the chamber, business owners from Tifton and Valdosta, and an ecstatic air dancer.

While primarily offering auto insurance, Acceptance also provides services pertaining to commercial policies, general liability and homeowner's insurance, and works with multiple insurance companies to determine the best deal for each customer.

Hunt has been an agent with Acceptance for more than five years, only recently moving into this senior position at the beginning of September. She said she's eager to take it to new heights.

"My next step is to build my store," Hunt said. "To honestly build my store up, get out in the community and make Acceptance known."

The Tifton branch of Acceptance Insurance is located at 605 Virginia Ave., across from the Tifton Mall, and is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
