Manchester School To Undergo Precautionary Deep Cleaning

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester Middle Academy will be closed Friday for a deep cleaning after one student reported being in close contact with another person who was diagnosed with the coronavirus, authorities said.

The school is located at 65 North School Street.

The protocol is for the school nursing staff and the district to "contact trace" and notify those who need to self-quarantine for up to 14 days unless the student tests negative, authorities said.

Manchester Middle Academy is a school offering a "non-traditional setting that celebrates the diversity of our students and insists upon a safe and caring community where all members are respected and engaged in their learning."
