Season 2 of 'The Mandalorian' is right around the corner. To celebrate the next chapter of bounty hunting, here are 10 facts you may not have known about the series.

This post contains a major spoiler for The Mandalorian, Chapter 13, "The Jedi."

The Mandalorian, at last, has revealed its live-action Ahsoka Tano.

Here's the first look at the fan-favorite character as played by Rosario Dawson:

Ahsoka was unveiled in the opening moments of the episode amid some striking lightsaber-wielding action. She then teamed with Mando (Pedro Pascal) and revealed some key backstory about Baby Yoda (including his real name).

The episode also included Michael Biehn (The Terminator) as Lang, an ex-military (and short-lived) head guard of a corrupt magistrate (Diana Lee Inosanto), and revealed that Grand Admiral Thrawn is likely coming to the show.

Thrawn is a popular character introduced in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novels who appeared in the animated Rebels series. He's an Imperial officer with blue skin and red eyes who is known for his cool-headed strategic brilliance.

As for Ahsoka (pronounced ah-so-kah) Tano, the character is a Togruta (that species with the montrals and head tails) who was introduced in The Clone Wars 2008 animated movie and then regularly appeared in The Clone Wars series and Rebels. She was originally Anakin Skywalker's Jedi padawan and was voiced by Ashley Eckstein. Here's how she looked in the animated version:

The character was considered pretty divisive at first, but the double-lightsaber-wielding character soon grew on fans and was a particular favorite of Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni (who is also an executive producer and director on Mandalorian).

Across her many adventures in Clone Wars, Ahsoka is framed and imprisoned and grows disillusioned with the Jedi faith and abandons the Jedi Order. The final scene in Clone Wars shows Anakin — now Darth Vader — finding Ahsoka's discarded lightsaber and apparently assuming she's dead.

Rebels takes place years after Clone Wars and has Ahsoka returning as a rebel agent. She eventually confronts her former mentor, Darth Vader, and they have a spectacular duel, which she survives.

Other actors coming to The Mandalorian season 2 included Temuera Morrison as the iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as a live-action version of Mandalorian warrior (and previous Darksaber holder) Bo-Katan Kryze.
