‘The Mandalorian’ Has Already Been Nominated for Something: Best Publicity Campaign

One day after “The Mandalorian” premiered as the most prominent new program at the launch of the Disney + service, the publicists responsible for its campaign have been nominated for one of the year’s top TV campaigns at the 57th Annual ICG Publicists Guild Awards, the International Cinematographers Guild Publicists announced on Wednesday.

The other nominees in the category are the publicists responsible for the campaigns for Hulu’s “Catch-22,” FX’s “Fosse/Verdon” and “Pose” and Netflix’s “Stranger Things” and “When They See Us.”

The winner will be announced at a luncheon on Friday, Feb. 7, two days before the Academy Awards. “Avengers: Endgame” directors Anthony and Joe Russo will receive the Motion Picture Showman of the Year award at that event as well.

Nominees in the film publicity category will be announced in January.

“Fosse/Verdon” – Nicole Crawford, Fox 21 Television (airs on FX)
“The Mandalorian”: Season 1 – The Local 600 union publicists of Disney + (streams on Disney +)
“Pose”: Season 2 – Yong Kim, Fox 21 Television (airs on FX)
“Stranger Things”: Season 3 – Denise Godoy Gregarek, Unit Publicist (streams on Netflix)
“When They See Us” – Jackie Bazan, Unit Publicist (streams on Netflix)
