Manhattan Pup Howls as Black Lives Matter Mural Painted on Fifth Avenue

A four-legged New Yorker provided a tuneful accompaniment for city employees who were painting ‘Black Lives Matter’ onto New York’s Fifth Avenue, in front of Trump Tower, on Thursday morning, July 9.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and civil rights activist Al Sharpton also attended the mural painting.

The “awooo” for the city’s most recent community-art initiative came from five-year-old dog EyesLow, star of the Instagram account ‘Manhattan Malamute.’

Reports said several other Black Lives Matter murals have been painted in New York City, including in Brooklyn and Staten Island, following anti-racism protests across the country. Credit: @themanhattanmalamute via Storyful
