Mansion where R. Kelly allegedly ran sex ‘cult’ snags new owner after $2 million listing

A suburban Atlanta mansion where R. Kelly allegedly ran a sex “cult” involving a stable of young women now has a new owner.

The seven-bedroom estate on Old Homestead Trail in an exclusive gated community in Johns Creek changed hands in recent weeks after it was listed at $2.1 million, according to its listing on Realtor.com.

The final purchase price for the sprawling 2.5-acre estate complete with a pool and tennis court was $1,785,000, TMZ.com reported.

Kelly was renting the home when BuzzFeed published its blockbuster 2017 report in which parents and former members of the Grammy winner’s inner circle alleged he brainwashed women or held them against their world in a “cult” that isolated them from their families and controlled every aspect of their lives.

He was evicted from the posh property in 2018, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported, citing documents showing he owed more than $31,000 in past due rent for the palatial home and another nearby “guest house.”

The 54-year-old singer, whose full name is Robert Kelly, was later hit with back-to-back 2019 federal indictments in Brooklyn and Chicago alleging a pattern of abuse involving underage girls going back decades.
