Mansory's Awful-Looking, 700-HP Ford GT Will Cost You $2.1 Million
Back in June, controversial German tuner and custom car builder Mansory revealed its latest creation: a totally bespoke, over-the-top Ford GT with entirely new body panels and 700 horsepower, limited to just three examples. The only thing we weren't privy to was the car's price. Well, thanks to this listing on German car sale site Mobile.de, now we know just how much this wild re-imagination of Ford's supercar will cost: Around $2.1 million.
Called the Le Mansory—a play on the phrase Le Mans—the car sports totally new carbon fiber panels shaped in questionable angles, and an entirely new fascia with angry-looking headlights. There are also roof scoops, side skirt extensions, a massive wing out back, and a tri-exit exhaust setup. The interior is equally as ridiculous, with two-tone seats and what seems like acres of Alcantara. The engine bay has been treated to bright blue cladding and several Mansory badges. It's... a bit much.
Of course, the changes aren't all cosmetic. The Le Mansory's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 has been tuned to 700 horsepower and 619 lb-ft of torque—increases of 53 horsepower and 69 lb-ft over stock. Those wheels? Forged items wrapped in Continental Sport Contact 6 tires. Mansory claims the car can hit 220 mph flat out.
The tuner has listed its first example for sale on Mobile.de with an asking price of €1.8 million, or $2,124,810 at current exchange rates. For context, that's more than four times the cost of a new, base Ford GT, and nearly double what stock examples sell for on the used market. While the price seems a bit nuts, we're confident Mansory will find someone with strange tastes with money to blow on this monstrosity.
