Many fun things to do in Irish Hills during 'Holidays in the Hills,' Dec. 2-4

There are so many fun holiday things to do in the Irish Hills during the first weekend in December (Dec. 2-4), we are calling it Holidays in the Hills.

Choose from a charity track drive, a Christmas Gala, a Wine-Ter Fest, live music, tree lighting, Santa visits, special discounts, toy drives, a Sip and Shop and lots more. Go to IrishHills.com for a list of events going on.

The downtown Brooklyn holiday parade and activities will be on Friday, Nov. 25, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Check out their Facebook page for a list of activities and sponsors.

The Irish Hills Regional Chamber of Commerce is holding a Chamber Cheers: Happy Hour from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Towns End Events, 15951 Rome Road, Manitou Beach, sponsored by ERA Reardon Realty. To register, go to IrishHills.com or call 517-592-8907.

Shady’s Tap Room is holding euchre night every Wednesday beginning at 6:30 p.m. No partner is necessary to attend. On Wednesday, Nov. 23, they are holding a pre-Thanksgiving bash from 7 to 11 p.m. Shady’s is at 110 Main St. on the square in downtown Brooklyn.

Nite Lites is back at Michigan International Speedway beginning Nov. 24 through Dec. 31. Hours are 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Introducing this year: The Nite Lites Express. Get your tickets for the train on NiteLitesShow.com.

Stop by Cherry Creek Cellars on Friday, Nov. 25 (while you are out shopping local!) for their featured Friday offering from 6 to 9 p.m. for baklava with the Winemaker’s Flight. The Irish Hills Eagles have the following specials coming up: On Wednesday, Nov. 23, they are offering $1 and $1.25 coney dogs for members only, beginning at 11 a.m. On Thursday, Nov. 24, is their great Thanksgiving turkey dinner from 1 to 4 p.m.  No to-go orders are allowed. Cost is a donation and it is open to the public. On Saturday, Nov. 26, members can join them for the Michigan vs. Ohio State college football game. They are also holding an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Nov. 27. Adults are $7 and children 10 or younger are only $3. The public is welcome. The Irish Hills Eagles are at 9500 Wamplers Lake Road in Brooklyn.

Saturday, Nov. 26, is Small Business Saturday. When customers spend where they live, communities get stronger and stays vibrant. Please invite your friends, neighbors and family to “Shop Small” and show their love for our Irish Hills business community.
