MAP: Here’s the updated forecast path of Tropical Storm Nicole

Tropical Storm Nicole made landfall as a Category 1 storm with 75 mph winds early Thursday on North Hutchinson Island just south of Vero Beach.

The storm’s top winds fell to 60 mph as it moved over land, weakening it to a tropical storm.

It’s now taking a diagonal course across the Florida peninsula that should bring it to the Gulf of Mexico by evening.
