Marblehead Community Discussion To Focus On Suicide Awareness

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The Marblehead Mental Health Task Force will host a community discussion on suicide awareness on Jan. 31.

The event will be held in a live forum in the Marblehead High School auditorium starting at 7 p.m. A virtual presentation of the forum will be added as well.

Licensed mental health counselor Melissa Kaplowitch will moderate the discussion that will include speakers LMCH Adam Ciccio and Amanda Rumble.

The Marblehead COVID Mental Health Task Force, under the direction of the Marblehead Board of Health, provides leadership and a community-wide focus by engaging providers, residents of all ages, and the greater Marblehead community in mental health and wellness initiatives.

Those with life-threatening emergencies should call 911 or go to the emergency room.

Those in Marblehead seeing emergency services can call Advocates Psychiatric Emergency Services 24 hours a day at 781-893-2003 to speak to a crisis clinician.
