Kentucky Derby Festival 2022

Kentucky Derby Festival Spring Fashion Show. Caesars Southern Indiana, 2nd-floor Premium Lounge, 11999 Casino Center Dr., SE, Elizabeth, Indiana, Thursday. This year’s high-energy runway show will feature outfits and accessories for men and women from Macy’s, several local boutiques, and other retailers. Mayor’s Give A Day: A Celebration of Service. Citywide effort of volunteering to help others, Friday through April 30. Individuals, companies and groups can volunteer online: MyGiveADay.com. Zoeller Pump Company Kentucky Derby Festival Touring Pegasus Parade. This traveling display takes the Derby Festival into the community and through neighborhoods to help kick off the spring celebration around the city, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 2. Here are some of the areas and neighborhoods where the touring parade will travel:

Wild Lights Lantern Festival. Louisville Zoo, 1100 Trevilian Way, 6:30-10:30 p.m. Thursdays-Sundays through June 5. Enjoy one of the largest lantern festivals in the nation featuring thousands of handcrafted silk-covered lanterns aglow with more than 50,000 LED light bulbs that include a variety of animal lanterns, including mammals, birds, and insects, a 98-foot-long dragon, mythical Chinese creatures and a promenade walk-through. Do Science at the Kentucky Science Center. The center is offering a series of videos that feature activities that can be done easily using things from around the house. A new activity will be released every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11 a.m. on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Louisville Parks and Recreation Golf Courses: Golf courses are open from daylight to dark seven days a week. In the clubhouses, food service will be limited to take-out only. Bathrooms and touchpoints will be cleaned multiple times daily, and golf carts will be limited to a single rider per cart, with carts being thoroughly cleaned after each use. Golfers are encouraged to keep 6 feet away from each other during play, based on guidance from the Department of Health and Wellness.
