The Safari EGGventure. Louisville Zoo, 1100 Trevilian Way, through April 9. The mobile scavenger hunt allows participants to search for hidden Zoo-themed eggs, answer trivia questions, and compete in challenges to earn points to win a free Louisville Zoo membership, Wild Lights tickets, plush animals, and more. Winners will be contacted via the email associated with the game account. The Safari EGGventure is free with Louisville Zoo admission or membership. louisvillezoo.org.

Louisville Free Public Library Spring Break Free Programs. Louisville Free Public Library is offering more than 100 free programs and activities for students during spring break starting Friday through April 8. The Louisville Nature Center, Ambo Dance Theatre, storyteller Marsha Roth, Second Chances Wildlife, and 4-H will have hands-on learning programs for children to play, create, and explore together, including interactive storytimes, puppet shows, crafts, scavenger hunts, and STEAM activities at locations across Louisville.

Zoeller Pump Company Touring Parade. The touring parade will help kick-start the Festival celebrations. The traveling display will drive around the community and will feature about two dozen units riding through neighborhood streets, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 1. Free

Katelyn Pavey, a Lanesville High School graduate, became the first ever limb different athlete to be named First Team All-State in Indiana (her full right arm and a small left arm, ending around the elbow). Wild Lights: Around the World. Louisville Zoo, 1100 Trevilian Way, 6:30-10 p.m. Thursday-Sunday. The lantern festival has a new lineup for 2023. Guests will be able to see sights from around the world featuring over 50,000 LED light bulbs, 18 interactive displays, 8 animated lanterns and 10 light-changing pieces. Featuring a walk-through cobra corridor, giant blue morpho butterfly, a 9-foot, shark-themed photo opportunity, the Statue of Liberty, Sydney Opera House, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Hall of Supreme Harmony and more. David Dominé Louisville Historic Tours. David Dominé, founder of Louisville Historic Tours and award-winning author will have three new walking tours for the 2023 season. For more information and to purchase tickets, louisvillehistorictours.com.
Glitter Ball City Tour: The Glitter Ball City Tour hits many of the spots in Old Louisville that are featured in Dominé’s 2021 true-crime memoir, A Dark Room in Glitter Ball City. Guided by the author himself, this walk will include a stop at a popular neighborhood watering hole to enjoy drinks along the way. Participants will also receive other extras, such as a signed copy of the book and a disco ball souvenir. Limited to 12 people. The Paranormal Buff Supernatural Tour. On this three-hour tour, guests will enter the Conrad-Caldwell House Mansion that was once home to a family of poets and artists.
