The Purdue Boilermakers are a No. 1 seed in the East Region of the 2023 NCAA tournament after winning the Big Ten regular-season and tournament championships. They are led by National Player of the Year contender Zach Edey, a 7-4 junior.

Purdue will play its first-round game Friday against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights, who beat the Texas Southern Tigers 84-61 in Wednesday's play-in game. All five FDU starters scored in double figures, and it made 11-of-24 3-pointers.
