Marching Mustangs band nabs state championship win for South Western HS

The South Western Marching Mustangs nabbed first place in state band championships this weekend.

During the Cavalcade of Bands in Horsham, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, South Western took home the "Yankee A" division championship.

The Mustangs' score of 91.475 by the judges locked in their win, and the Mustangs additionally received the High Music, High Visual, High Overall Effect, and High Auxiliary awards from judges.

Competing against the Mustangs were Manheim Central, Kennett, Cherry Hill East, York Suburban, Central Bucks West, Berwick Area and Exeter Township.

Manheim Central, with a score of 88.425, was in second place behind the Mustangs.
