Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons fame is going solo for his next self-titled album — and opting for intimate venues for his next tour.

And the 31-date North American tour includes the 1,300-seat Pabst Theater Oct. 20 — significantly smaller than a sold-out Fiserv Forum he played with his Grammy-winning band the last time he was in town in 2019. Mumford will also play the Sylvee in Madison Oct. 21.

Recently releasing the music video for the album's first single "Cannibal" — the video was filmed by Steven Spielberg on his phone — Mumford has also announced more details for his album out Sept. 16 on Capitol Records.

Among the guests on the 10-track album: Brandi Carlile, Phoebe Bridgers, Clairo and Monica Martin, who grew up in Baraboo and fronted the popular Wisconsin folk-pop band PHOX before pursuing a solo career from Los Angeles.

Tickets for Mumford's Milwaukee show go on sale at 10 a.m. July 29 at the box office (144 E. Wells St.) and pabsttheater.org. Prices have yet to be announced.
