Some Mardi Gras parades are rescheduled this weekend due to rain

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Mardi Gras krewe leaders have announced changes in parade times this weekend, due to anticipated rain.

Friday, Feb. 2

Krewe of Cork (French Quarter)

  • Currently, the parade is expected to roll at its scheduled time at 3 p.m.

Oshun (Uptown)

  • NOLAReady reported Oshun will roll earlier, at 5:30 p.m.

Cleopatra (Uptown)

  • NOLAReady reported Cleopatra will roll earlier, at 6 p.m.

Alla (Uptown)

  • Alla will roll after Cleopatra, which was moved to 6 p.m.

Excalibur (Metairie)

  • Currently, there’s been no change in the parade’s roll time, which is 7 p.m.

Krewe of Eve (Covington)

  • Currently, there’s been no change in the parade’s roll time, which is 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 3

Krewe of Pontchartrain (Uptown)

  • Krewe leaders are planning to roll out earlier than anticipated due to rain. The parade is usually scheduled for 9 a.m., but the new time is expected to be announced Friday afternoon.

Legion of Mars (Uptown)

  • This parade follows the Krewe of Pontchartrain, which may be moved.

Krewe of Choctaw (Uptown)

  • This parade follows the Legion of Mars, which follows the Krewe of Pontchartrain. Pontchartrain may be moved.

Krewe of Freret (Uptown)

  • This parade follows the Krewe of Choctaw, which follows the Legion of Mars, which follows the Krewe of Pontchartrain. Pontchartrain may be moved.

Knights of Sparta (Uptown)

  • Currently, there’s been no change in the parade’s roll time, which is 5:30 p.m. Though, the krewe is meeting to determine if rescheduling is necessary.

Pygmalion (Uptown)

  • This parade follows the Knights of Sparta, which may be rescheduled.

Krewe of Olympia (Covington)

  • Krewe leaders announced that the parade will roll at 5 p.m. instead of 6 p.m.

Paws of Olde Town (Slidell)

  • The parade is expected to end before the rain starts. Currently, the parade will roll as scheduled at 10 a.m.

Nemesis (Chalmette)

  • Currently, there’s been no change in the parade’s roll time, which is 1 p.m. Though, the krewe is meeting to determine if rescheduling to Monday is necessary.

Krewe of Tee Caillou (Chauvin)

  • This parade has been moved to Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m.

Sunday, Feb. 4

Barkus (French Quarter)

  • Currently, this parade is expected to roll at 2 p.m.

Femme Fatale (Uptown)

  • Currently, this parade is expected to roll at 11 a.m.

Krewe of Carrollton (Uptown)

  • This parade follows Femme Fatale.

King Arthur (Uptown)

  • This parade follows the Krewe of Carrollton, which follows Femme Fatale.

Atlas (Metairie)

  • Currently, there’s been no change in the parade’s roll time, which is 4 p.m.

Krewe of Madhatters (Metairie)

  • Due to anticipated rain, the krewe moved the parade from Saturday to Sunday at 3 p.m.

Tchefuncte (Madisonville)

  • The parade has been moved from Saturday to Sunday at 1 p.m.

Dionysus (Slidell)

  • Currently, there’s been no change in the parade’s roll time, which is 1 p.m.

Krewe of Push Mow (Abita Springs)

  • Currently, this parade is expected to roll at 2 p.m.

Krewe of Aquarius (Houma)

  • This parade was originally scheduled for Saturday. It will now follow behind the Krewe of Titans.
