Mariah Carey Has Defrosted, Officially Signaling A Start To The Holiday Season: ‘It’s Time!’

The holiday season is officially upon us, and Mariah Carey’s annual video proves it’s never too early to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year!

According to People, the 54-year-old shared a video on Wednesday to her Instagram account and announced, “It’s……. TIME!” as she defrosted for the Christmas holiday.

In the 34-second clip, a clock counts from October 31 to November 1, with a vault door swinging open and Carey frozen in a block of ice. Several people in Halloween costumes used blow dryers to unthaw the legendary singer, and when the ice finally gave away, she sang, “It’s time!” as the holiday festivities began.

Carey, nicknamed the Queen of Christmas, is known for her creative transitions into the holiday season. Last year, per People, she posted a video to her Instagram account riding an exercise bike as a cauldron-stirring witch transforming into a cheerful Mariah wearing a Santa-inspired outfit riding a reindeer.

The viral video has since made its rounds on X, formerly known as Twitter, prompting hilarious social reactions from users on the platform, CBS News reported.

“Every year dominating a whole season. Santa who? Mariah is truly the queen,” @Drebae_ wrote alongside a meme video.

“I love that she acknowledged the “she’s defrosting” meme, this just makes me love her even more 😭😭,” @TenpeTheCreator shared.

In addition to massive plays of her hit Christmas single, other users insinuated that Carey makes more money during the holiday season with her annual Christmas tour that kicks off this month.
