Marietta Grandmother Transforms Driveway Into Canvas

MARIETTA, GA – A Marietta grandmother has found an inspirational hobby during the coronavirus pandemic with the goal of putting smiles on peoples faces. For the past six weeks, Kathy Wood has set aside time each day to draw massive interactive art with chalk on her driveway.

According to WSB, her creation shows her flying over the “Big Chicken,” jumping away from alligators and parachuting down from the sky.

“At first, it was boredom. Then I thought my grandkids would get a kick out of it, since I couldn't see them that much,” Wood tells the outlet.

She draws them at the top of her driveway and then her husband Jerry takes the photos for Instagram and Facebook, she said.

Wood said she didn’t expect her chalk art to become so popular.

“People are telling me they look forward to it in the morning when they’re having their coffee,” she said.
