Marilyn Drone appointed CEO of Victor Valley Global Medical Center in Victorville
Victor Valley Global Medical Global Center officials on Thursday announced the appointment of Marilyn Drone as its Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Kali P. Chaudhuri, founder and chairman of the KPC Group, and Peter Baronoff, CEO of KPC Health released a joint statement on Drone’s appointment
“Marilyn has over 20 years of healthcare experience, and we are delighted that she will offer her skills and expertise as part of the KPC Health family,” the statement said.
They added that Drone’s lengthy and esteemed career includes previous roles as CEO, COO, chief nursing officer and executive vice president.
Before joining KPC Health, Drone served in executive, managerial, and clinical leadership roles at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, and also at Victor Valley Community Hospital, now known as VVGMC.
A registered nurse by trade, Drone holds a master of science degree in nursing. She and her family are long-time residents of the High Desert.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Drone joining our Victor Valley team,” the statement continued. “We are constantly striving to provide our patients with the best care possible.”
The KPC executive said Drone’s expertise, credentials, and deep understanding of the community’s needs will support our efforts to achieve the hospital’s goals.
VVGMC is part of the KPC Health system of hospitals. KPC Health owns and operates a group of integrated healthcare delivery systems consisting of acute care hospitals, Independent Physician Associations, medical groups, and various fully-integrated multi-specialty medical facilities.
KPC Health’s current system of hospitals includes seven full-service acute care hospitals located throughout Southern California.
Those medical facilities include VVGMC, Orange County Global Medical Center, Chapman Global Medical Center, Anaheim Global Medical Center, South Coast Global Medical Center, Hemet Global Medical Center and Menifee Global Medical Center.
