Marion County election results 2022: Big change in Dunnellon, no change in Belleview

Two Dunnellon City Council incumbents were defeated Tuesday in their quest to retain their seats.

Valerie Hanchar and Anita Williams were beaten by Wally Dunn and Tim Inskeep, respectively.

According to the Supervisor of Elections Office website and city officials, Dunn received 484 votes, or 58.38 percent, to Hanchar's 41.62 percent, or 345 votes for Seat 4.

For Inskeep, it was 58.05 percent, or 476 votes, to Williams' 41.95 percent, or 344 votes, for Seat 3.

Dunn and Inskeep join Juliane Mendonca, who was sworn in as the representative for Seat 2 last month. Mendonca replaces Louise Kenny, who resigned for family reasons.

No contests in the City of Belleview

In the City of Belleview, Michael Goldman, Ronald Livsey and Ray Dwyer all ran unopposed and therefore automatically remained in their seats.

Dwyer was appointed to the seat earlier this year when former City Commissioner Gary Ernst decided to leave his seat when he relocated from the Belleview city limits.
