Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, commented on the video posted by the resistance movement in the city, saying it was "a nice birthday greeting to the most disgusting dictator of the 21st century."

Activists of the resistance movement in Mariupol are creatively protesting against the Russian occupation by painting the Ukrainian letter Ї in various parts of the city – the Russian alphabet has so such letter.

On Sept. 5, the Mariupol resistance movement called on Ukrainians in the city from their Telegram post to join this protest and paint the Ukrainian letter Ї, which they chose as their symbol, in various locations.
