Mark Cuban takes aim at Donald Trump on Fox News, endorses Joe Biden for president

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has never been one to shy away from the often touchy topic of politics and he is regularly seen and heard voicing his opinion on whether or not he has political aspirations himself. However, during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Tuesday, the controversial Shark Tank host said that he will be backing Joe Biden come November.

“Donald Trump doesn’t want to run a country,” Cuban said. “He wants to run a campaign. Joe Biden actually wants to run a country.”

Biden’s mental capacity has been questioned by some Trump supporters, which Hannity addressed during the interview.

“Do you believe that he has the strength, the stamina, the mental acuity, the alertness to be taking on what is the toughest job in the world, being the president of the United States?” Hannity asked. “Do you in your heart believe he does?”

“One hundred percent. Absolutely,” Cuban replied.

“Tell me what Joe has done that you were so proud of that qualifies him to be president after 50 years [in public life],” Hannity asked later in the interview.

“I think the ACA [Affordable Care Act] is easily the biggest accomplishment and it’s unfortunate Trump is trying to dismantle it,” the billionaire responded.

The Trump administration is in favor of a total repeal of the ACA and is backing a lawsuit against it that will go before the Supreme Court in fall, according to CNN.

Cuban entertained running for president himself against Trump, but decided against it after poll results determined the numbers were not in his favor and that he would only serve as a distraction in the race, according to The Hill.

“In a three-way between me, Biden and Trump, I dominated the independent vote – I got like 77 percent of it and was able to take some votes away from Donald and some votes away from Biden,” Cuban said on ex-Obama adviser David Axelrod’s podcast “The Axe Files” earlier this month.

“But in aggregate, I was only able to get up to 25 percent. From every which way, cross tab, you name it, I had it analyzed and scrutinized every which way, projected, and they could only see me getting up to 25 percent. That’s why I didn’t pursue it further.”

Cuban had also considered a run in 2016 before endorsing Hillary Clinton for president.
