Mark Duplass Sells Valley Village Home for $1.925 Million

He and his wife, actress Katie Aselton, made a profit after buying the home less than a year ago

Indie director Mark Duplass and his wife, actress Katie Aselton, recently sold their Valley Village home for $1.925 million, less than a year after they bought it for $1.75 million. The flip garnered the couple a $175,000 profit, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The Cape Cod–style home, which was built just three years ago, features 3,442 square feet of open living spaces with some serious outdoor-indoor components, including a family room with an entire wall of glass sliders that open onto a tiled outdoor lounge area with its own fireplace (another wall in the room features built-in shelving). On the second floor, the master suite opens onto its own spacious balcony. The interior of the home is light-filled and airy, with high ceilings in the front foyer and throughout the rest of the home, including an incredible vaulted ceiling with a chandelier in the master suite.

The living room, located just off the front entrance hall, boasts a grand molded-mantel fireplace, with open doorways that peek through to the formal dining room, which features paneled walls. Toward the back of the home is the modern kitchen, designed with a farmhouse-chic aesthetic in mind. The kitchen largely revolves around a large center island, with a more informal dining area just off to one side.

Elsewhere on the ground floor, just off the front entry hallway, is an office nook perfect for catching up on work. Out back, a large part of the backyard is taken up by a fountain-fed pool and spa, with a grassy lawn right beside it.

According to the Los Angeles Times, it’s unlikely that the couple ever lived in the home, given that they sold the place so quickly and that they dropped an (at the time) record-breaking $4.4 million for a contemporary compound in Silver Lake back in 2015.
