Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day for Mark Wahlberg, but that's surely not the case for Dr. Oz.

The actor, known for his muscular physique and intense workouts, took to Instagram last week to argue against Oz's stance on skipping breakfast.

“Listen, we got beef now. You don’t want this smoke, trust me,” Wahlberg, 48, said in the Instagram video.

“If you wanna challenge me, I’ll come hung over, eat a big steak, and you can do your little 20 push-ups with one leg, your assisted pull-up, I’m telling you you’ll need a defibrillator when I’m done with you," Wahlberg continued to Oz, who is a fan of intermittent fasting.

In another video showing off his defined physique, Wahlberg said he was "coming" for the doctor.

Dr. Oz visited "The Today Show" on Wednesday to further his case, arguing that the meal's benefits aren't actually rooted in any medicine.

Wahlberg "believes all the hype that you gotta have breakfast, which just isn’t based in any medicine," the television host asserted.

"The smart thing to do is skip breakfast, work out as hard as you can — you may not do what Mark can do, but do as much as you can — and you’ll look better because you burn fat, not the food in your stomach, while you’re exercising.”

The doctor also said that he plans to "ban breakfast" this year, calling it an "advertising ploy."

"Unfortunately, a lot of the dogma that we were fed for decades came out of advertisements. It wasn’t really based on the truth around our health," Oz told TMZ.

Last week, Oz furthered the feud after sharing a video of himself to Instagram doing pushups.

"Grab your defibrillator, @markwahlberg. Tag, you’re it," he wrote. Wahlberg responded to his post with an eye emoji.
