Mark Wahlberg makes surprise visit to Michigan

American actor and business owner Mark Wahlberg made a surprise visit to Grandville, near Grand Rapids, to create a new commercial for his new investment in Flecha Azul Tequila at restaurant chain On The Border, according to WOODTV 8 in Grand Rapids.

While at On The Border, Wahlberg assisted in making drinks for patrons while filming. The tequila will be used to make "Marky Margs," a margarita named after the movie star.

The tequila was co-founded by Mexican PGA golfer Abraham Ancer and entrepreneur Aron Marquez according to a CNN news report. Wahlberg began working with the company in 2021, earning him the title of principal investor for the Mexican company Cuervo, which has been around since 1840.

In an Instagram video posted by Wahlberg, he said in the caption that he stopped by the location to help promote the tequila just in time for Cinco de Mayo, which is May 5. Viewers can also watch him interact and serve up drinks to customers.

The tequila is made in Jalisco, Mexico.
