On the market: Priced at $14.495M, waterfront condo offers ‘amazing’ views of Palm Beach
After Rhonda Wilkins and Cliff Fischer married in November 2019 and embarked on finding a new home together, a recently built waterfront condominium tower across from Palm Beach caught their eye.
And how could it not? Gleaming on the South Flagler Drive waterfront, The Bristol was the first condo building to be built in many years in downtown West Palm Beach, and its amenities and services set a new bar for luxury in Palm Beach County. At 1100 S. Flagler Drive, the 25-story tower rises just south of the Royal Park Bridge.
“Rhonda wanted new construction and a beautiful more modern building, with high ceilings,” Cliff Fischer says. “We searched for several months up and down the coastline, and in West Palm Beach, the market was tight.
“Then we looked at The Bristol, and the quality was amazing at every level.”
in April 2021, they bought Unit No. 1702 and set about renovating the apartment to suit their tastes.
Since then, however, they have found an oceanfront penthouse in Palm Beach and have, in turn, put their condo at The Bristol on the market with a price of $14.495 million.
Marketed as a three-bedroom, three-and-half-bath unit — with 4,308 square feet of living space, inside and out — the condo is being marketed by agent Linda Olsson of Linda R. Olsson, Realtor, Inc. The third bedroom, which was used by the Fischers as a family room, has a full bath and could easily be repurposed by the next owner. The condo will be sold with garage parking for four cars.

The Fischers’ renovation changed the apartment’s overall style from ultramodern to a more traditional look. They also reconfigured the floorplan with the help of Palm Beach interior designer William Eubanks.
“We’ve achieved wonderful utilization of every square foot,” Cliff says.
Like every apartment at The Bristol, the condo slices through the building. Dramatic views to the north, east and south capture the Intracoastal Waterway, Palm Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Windows on the west side afford views of West Palm Beach.

On the east side of the condo, the main living area, kitchen and primary suite open to the balcony. To the west, with city views, is the area the Fischers used as a family room with a bar.
The Fischers also added an unusual “video wall” in the private elevator entry, Cliff explains.
“When we come and go, we call the elevator, and we wanted to use that space to create a unique experience,” he says.
Floors throughout the condo are white marble, but those in the gallery and foyer are finished in black and white to add a sense of drama.
Off the gallery and foyer is a powder room, and the laundry is adjacent to the kitchen.

The Fischers carved out extensive closet space and redid the bathrooms, finishing them in marble. And to afford the couple a choice for either formal or informal entertaining, they added pocket doors that can close off the marble-appointed kitchen from the living area.
“When we open the doors, we have ocean views, but when we close them, we have privacy, and it added more space to the kitchen. By adding walls, we were able to create pantries and extensive built-in cabinetry,” Cliff Fischer says.
The cabinets were upgraded to hardwood in the kitchen, which is fitted with professional-grade, stainless-steel appliances.

Completed in late 2019, The Bristol was developed by Al Adelson, one of the partners in the development group Flagler Investors Ltd., along with Eugene Golub of Golub & Co. in Chicago and Jack Azout of Elion Partners in Aventura.
Amenities of the 68-unit tower include a chic lobby along with a gym, spa, massage room, steam room and whirlpool. There also are a beauty salon, conference room and water-view resort-style pool.
The building’s white-glove service includes 24-hour door personnel along with reception, concierge and valet staff.
“I am going to miss the views, the staff and the services,” Cliff says.
And the building offered other charms, thanks to the apartment’s position on the 17th floor.
The bridge below, for instance, is frequently lighted in different colors, including pink for breast cancer awareness.
Th effect “adds to the (scenic) drama, with the (Palm Beach) Biltmore and The Breakers in the background,” Cliff says.
And don’t forget the light shows provided by Mother Nature.
“The sunrises and sunsets are amazing. Every day I couldn’t wait for them,” he says.
