For the fifth consecutive year, Marlette Holdings has been named one of the top workplaces in Delaware.

Marlette Holdings, known to customers as Best Egg Personal Loans, is a financial tech company that aims at empowering customers regarding their everyday finances. The company’s purpose is to make money quickly accessible to its customers so that they can enjoy life.

The platform has been growing exponentially, having delivered over $16 billion of personal loans with strong credit performance to customers since March 2014.

The past year saw record growth for Best Egg, facilitating 437,000 new accounts, $4.6 billion in personal loans, and hiring more than 200 employees.

According to Best Egg’s website, as of August 2021 the platform was operating with a 95% customer satisfaction rating and was given an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.

Marlette Holdings and Best Egg have been continuously taking steps toward expanding their customer base accelerating their growth. This March, the company raised $225 million in series E funding and in May announced a collaboration with loan agency BancAlliance to kickstart a new Best Egg loan purchase program with over 300 community banks.

Customer satisfaction and impressive performance aside, Marlette Holdings also has been fostering a fulfilling environment for its employees earning it first place in the large company category in The News Journal’s Top Workplaces for 2022.

In the wake of the pandemic, Best Egg made sure to encourage a flexible approach by allowing employees to use the office or work remotely at their own discretion.

“I am challenged yet supported,” one employee said. “Every person I have interacted with at this company has been incredibly warm and welcoming. I get to work on innovative projects that allow me to learn new skills. I feel like my time and labor is respected.”

Led by CEO Jeffrey Meiler, winner of this year’s large company leadership award, employees rave about the interpersonal dynamics between employees at Marlette via anonymous online surveys.

“Managers and co-workers really listen,” an employee said. “We are all here to help each other succeed. Being a part of a company that has values that they actually follow through with is refreshing.”

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized as a top place to work in Delaware for the fifth consecutive year,” said Meiler. “We have grown a lot the past few years, including adding hundreds of new employees. It is rewarding to know that even with this growth, we consistently maintain a culture where employees enjoy what they do and take pride in where they work.”
