Marlington to celebrate prom Saturday

Marlington High School will celebrate prom Saturday evening at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.

The prom king and queen will be named at 7:45 p.m., and dancing will be 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Sponsored by Marlington’s Class of 2023, the theme for the event is “A Night Under the Stars.” Advisers are Meredith Joyce and Christine Kogut.

During the event, students can take tours of the Hall of Fame. DJ will be Jerry Humes of Pure DJ Events.

CATARINA HAGAN – The daughter of Josh Hagan and Sara Hagan is a member of Duke Street select vocal ensemble, Drama Dukes, Marlington Chorale and French Honor Society. She is a captain of the varsity girls tennis team and a member of the varsity girls track team.

MYKAH KACKLEY – The daughter of Jason and Treena Kackley is senior class vice president, member of Character Counts, Rotary Interact Club, Duchess Voices select vocal ensemble and Marlington Chorale. She played soccer and basketball.

KENNA MCELROY – The daughter of Bryan and Sylvia McElroy is a member of French Honor Society, French Club, Character Counts Club and Duke Crew. She was a four-year letter winner in girls soccer and captain of the basketball and track teams. She is a Class of 2022 Victory Bell Ringer and a news anchor on the morning video announcements.

RYLIN PAULI – The daughter of Kristin Pauli and Anthony Stallsmith and Matt and Jamie Pauli is a member of the varsity sideline and competition cheerleading squads. She also attends the Alliance High School cosmetology career technical program.

KYLIE TOLERTON – The daughter of Will and Marci Tolerton is a member of National Honor Society, Character Counts, Rotary Interact Club, Washington Ruritans and a Duke Pound leader. She was a captain of the swim team and formerly played volleyball.

LANCE BEACHY – The son of Kevin and Dina Beachy is a member of National Honor Society, Rotary Interact Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was on the cross country and track teams. He is also a member of his church youth group, Bible study and Y-League basketball.

SAM DINE – The son of Rich and Karla Dine is a member of National Honor Society, Character Counts, Rotary Interact Club and Washington Ruritans. He played football and basketball.

NOAH GRAHAM – The son of Josh Perkins and Melissa Graham-Perkins is a member of National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Spanish Honor Society. He was a captain of the cross country and track teams.

COOPER SCARLOTT – The son of Nickie Scarlott and Steven Scarlott played football and was in track.

BEN YODER – The son of Dan Yoder and Beth Yoder was on the soccer, basketball and track teams.
