Marlington High installs 30 into NHS

Marlington High School inducted 30 students to its National Honor Society during a recent ceremony. Marlington High School celebrated the induction of 30 students to its National Honor Society.

During the ceremony at the school, Principal Michael Farrell presented opening and closing remarks, while students in the organization served other roles during the event.

President Nash Minor gave the introduction, and Vice President Elizabeth Mason explained the National Honor Society emblem.

Group members explained the four principles of the National Honor Society, with Evan Dennison on character; Natalie Maiorana on scholarship; Ava Collins on leadership; and Douglas Sanor on service.

NHS Secretary Connor Battershell led the Pledge of Allegiance to the society, and Maria Warner explained the NHS colors, flower and motto.

Minor and Mason presented the new members:

Seniors – Cohen Boyce, Hunter Evans, Rebecca Kuhlmann, Benjamin Lacher, Theresa Long, Jacob Marriner, Kyler Mattern, Ashlyn Maurer, Lexi Miller and Lauren Price.

Juniors – Hope Baer, Katelyn Bernard, Julia Bertrand, Stella Blake, Nelda Bullock, Bo Bratten, Calvin Bungard, Carter Difloure, Wyatt Dillon, Luke Dipold, Chelsea Evanich, Emily Fox, Emily Gainer, Abigail Hartzler, Mahlen Lambdin, Ashton Mason, Audrey Miller, Henry Nase, Janelle Swisher and Brianna Waite.

Guest Speaker was Eric Francis, a 2006 graduate of Marling High School.
