Married at First Sight UK's Alexis Economou has revealed that she spoke openly about her past relationship with a woman on the show, but the conversation didn't make it into the final edit.

While appearing on FUBAR Radio's Access All Areas, the reality star announced that she's still looking for love following her time on the show, having failed to find someone through the televised experiment.

She also said that while she's getting a lot of offers through social media and whatnot, she's weary about accepting them, as she's "really scared of the internet".

"You just never know who people are," Economou shared, as hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng asked her what she looks for in a relationship.

"I also have dated females, so for me, it's a vibe. I don't really have a type," she replied candidly. "It's who I vibe with who I connect with. It's an energy. It's not a physical thing or a looks thing for me.

"I have been in a serious relationship with a woman in my past," she added. "I did speak about it on the show but it never aired. There were a lot of things that we did record that probably didn't make the cut due to timings."

During the same interview, Economou also confirmed that she and former MAFS alum Ben Jardine are "just friends" after a night out spent together in London sparked rumours that the pair had grown closer in recent weeks.

"It was a very messy night. Ben's a great guy but definitely not my kind of guy."

Turns out Economou isn't the only one who's had her scenes cut short during a stint on a beloved dating series.

Back in September, Love Island's Sharon Gaffka explained how she'd admitted to having a threesome during the Horny Devils challenge on the show, and that it led to a heartfelt conversation with fellow Islander Faye Winter.

"She asked, 'Are you bisexual?' And I said, 'It's something I've explored but I've never been in a relationship with a woman'," she recalled.

"A lot of the conversations I had about modern dating on the show were never aired, but I was very open about sexuality and being a mixed-race woman in modern dating."

Married at First Sight UK airs on E4, and is also available on All 4.
