Marshalls, HomeGoods ready to open in Plumsteadville; new Hallmark store coming soon

Marshalls and HomeGoods is set to open in two weeks in Plumstead.

The TJX Company announced the popular off-price retail stores will complete its move from Barn Plaza shopping center in Doylestown Township to open in Cross Keys Place.

A grand opening is set for April 6.

What to expect at Marshalls and Homegoods in Plumstead

The two side-by-side stores are located where the Giant sat before the grocery retailer moved across the center to the former K-Mart space in 2021.

Marshalls and HomeGoods feature separate entrances, two distinct store environments and a common pass-through. Both stores are well-known for carrying brand name and designer merchandise at low prices.

Grand opening hours for both locations are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Regular store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

HomeGoods will be supporting the community with a $10,000 donation to Philabundance, a nonprofit food bank, and Marshalls will present a $10,000 to A Woman’s Place, a domestic violence response organization in Bucks County.

What else is new to Cross Keys Place shopping center?

The shopping center has undergone changes over recent years with existing stores relocating and expanding, new stores coming in and overall improvements, which include façade renovations, new curbs and sidewalks and new storm drains.

P.J. Whelihan’s opened in a new freestanding building across from the Giant on March 13. The sports bar and restaurant offers casual dining with a pub menu.

Cross Keys Place is now completely leased out, with the opening of two more retailers on the horizon, according to Chris Chandor, managing partner of Cross Keys Development Company, which owns the shopping center.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools is joining the shopping center with a new retail store between CVS Pharmacy and Edible Arrangements. Chandor said he expects it to open in the next few weeks.

And within 90 days, he said Norman’s Hallmark will open next to Rita’s Water Ice, in a portion of the space formerly occupied by Doylestown Fitness Center, said Chandoor. Michelle's Hallmark, a mile down the road in the Doylestown Shopping Center permanently closed in January.

Cross Keys Place is also home to several other retailers and restaurants, including Phi, Five Guys, Pina’s Pizza, Jersey Mike’s, Saladworks, Subway, Perkins, True Value Hardware, Hair Cuttery, Yoga Six and Five Below.

With Marshalls relocation, Whole Foods is coming to Doylestown

Whole Foods Market will take a portion of the Marshalls and HomeGoods space in the Barn Plaza shopping center off Route 611.

Construction of the new Whole Foods is expected to start this summer, said Kristen Moore, a spokesperson with Brixmor Property Group, the leasing and development company that owns Barn Plaza. No information was available on whether a tenant was secured for the remaining portion of the space.

Whole Foods did not respond to a request for additional details Thursday. But in an email from October, a spokesperson confirmed a new location in Doylestown is in development.
